This notice explains what we collect when you apply to join ICON Property Group, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
ICON Property Group is a property practitioner firm registered with the PPRA. Our Information Officer is Gary Phelps. To reach the Information Officer, email careers@iconpg.co.za or call 021 569 7333.
What we collect
Your name, contact details, province and city, experience, commission band, FFC and PPRA status, your CV if you upload one, any message you send us, and which advert or link brought you to us.
Why we collect it
To assess your application, contact you about it and arrange interviews. If you join ICON, we use it to onboard you and to meet our obligations under the Property Practitioners Act and FICA.
Career updates
We only send you career updates if you tick the optional box. You can stop them at any time by replying STOP on WhatsApp or using the unsubscribe link in any email.
Who sees your information
ICON's recruitment team and branch principals. We store it in I ONE, our customer system, which runs on GoHighLevel with servers outside South Africa; this website is hosted by Vibe. These providers process your information only on our instructions and are bound to protect it. We never sell your information.
How long we keep it
If your application is unsuccessful, we delete your information after 12 months. If you join ICON, we keep it for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent, by contacting our Information Officer. You may also complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
Website analytics
We use analytics and advertising tools, including Meta, to understand which adverts bring us applicants.
